Smashed Curried Mustard Brussel Sprouts


  • 20 brussel sprouts

  • 2 tbl olive oil or melted butter

  • 3 tbl curried beer mustard

  • 1 tbl onion powder


  1. Clean Brussels by taking the butter layer of leaves of and cut the bottom stem off

  2. Place Brussels sprouts into a saucepan filled with lightly salted water.

  3. Pre-heat oven to 500 degree F

  4. Boil over medium high heat until Brussels sprouts are just tender, 8 to 10 minutes; drain.

  5. Let drain and then place on sheet tray with foil.

  6. Use a glass with a flat bottom and smash Brussels onto tray until flat

  7. Mix butter or oil, mustard, and onion powder in a large bowl until combined.

  8. Pour sauce over Brussels and coat.

  9. Broil Brussels until desired crispness and enjoy!
